Business Analyst

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·         Lead requirement gathering sessions with executives
·         Negotiate technical and non-technical solutions that both satisfy the business user and conform to the technical architecture
·         Collaborate with business users and development team in the design, development, and deployment of new or improved
           application processes
·         Work with business and product managers on QA and UAT test scenarios
·         Work closely with the development teams to ensure a thorough understanding of the business needs as they relate to the
             proposed system design
·         Develop understanding of business issues and data challenges of the organization and industry
·         Act as the lead in gathering, analyzing, documenting, and editing requirements, specifications, and business processes from
           business leaders and IT stakeholders
·         Assist with support of the end-user community by providing additional application support and training as required
·         Provide assistance and direction to QA analysts with validation and testing of proposed solutions including validation of resolved defects
·         Provide assistance and direction during implementation and deployment of system solutions to production
·         Work with business personnel to identify required changes and support compliance
·         Specific knowledge, skills and abilities:
Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business, or other related field
·         Experience with Java, J2EE Oracle Fusion, JavaScript, ASP.NET, C#.NET, VB.NET, and PL/SQL is a plus
·         Ability to translate business requirements to technical requirements to enable IT technical teams
·         Highly personable and able to communicate clearly and build strong relationships across groups and with IT personnel
·         Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems
·         Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with strong organizational & time management skills
·         Detail-oriented, self-directed, with strong problem-solving skills
·         Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 
·         Must be an experienced Excel user and able to create pivot tables, macros and effective formulas 

Business Analyst for Airlines industry

Nascent Global is looking for AIRLINE INDUSTRY Business Analysts with PREVIOUS airline industry specific skill sets (CREW, FOS, etc.). This individual will be joining a software development team which is focused on creating applications for Pilots, Flight Attendants, and Crew Schedules; he/she will also be responsible for the identification, documentation, management and communication of scope and requirements documents for one or multiple projects.

Among the required tasks, the individual will act as a Crew Scheduling/Crew Planning business subject matter expert, generate requirements, track and resolve project issues, and help to create and manage User Stories in Rally. The person will use business analysis techniques for gathering and documenting requirements, writing User Guides, assisting QA with testing.

• 5 years work experience as an IT Business Analyst with AIRLINE CREW schedules
and data and/or Flight Operations Systems (FOS) experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Must possess strong organization, planning, interpersonal, and negotiating skills 
• Ability to communicate precisely and clearly with all levels of management 
• Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, effectively prioritize, manage change and
customer expectations 
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills are needed, along with accuracy and attention
to detail 
• Knowledge and experience in analysis techniques such as requirements gathering and use
case development 
• Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies
